THE FISCAL CLIFF: WHAT IS IT ... REALLY?
I did not pay attention in civics class in high school. I failed a course in economics in college. My career in journalism taught me more than I ever wanted to know about politics and government. But even with a bachelor of science degree and decades later, I still find economic issues to be a bit confusing. The talking heads on TV news shows usually lose me when they talk over MY head in trying to explain the so-called "fiscal cliff" and how it impacts the U.S. and the world -- particularly the average citizen.
