Toney Atkins comments: The 69th anniversary of D-Day is Thursday, June 6. If you know a living veteran of World War II who may have participated in this historic event, please find a way to thank them for their military service for the United States. No matter where Americans battled during that war, they deserve our appreciation, not only on Veterans Day, Armed Forces Day or any other holiday that honors those who have served our country in the military.
